@woot Thanks Davide! The caption just seemed to be something that stated the obvious! @deniseinindy Thank you Denise. Yes- all hand crafted but not by the same artisans. The top mug with the green handle came from Israel; the next to on the right were made by a potter in West Milford NJ in her home studio. I discovered her through a mailing she put out and for a few years bought myself a mug from her for Christmas. The bottom mug I bought on a trip in Colorado near Red Rocks; the brown one with the white dots was bought at a craft fair when my children were very little!! And the last mug was a gift from my daughter-in-law and is the one I always use for my chocolate strawberry tea because it's the perfect size and a lovely cobalt blue!
wonderful shot. i have a gazillion mugs. they are not alike but they serve the same purpose. and i'm still stymied for a post for this prompt. no, a shot of my granny ankles are not in the offing! hahahaha! i'm sure i'll come up with something before the night is done.
@elizabeth Thank you Elizabeth! I can see it appearing in one of your worship on Wednesday gatherings! @annaluceya Thank you Anna! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! Well it's an open-ended word which gives you a lot of freedom. I was also thinking I could make a collage of all kinds of handles, but went the easy route by setting up the mugs! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- I enjoy both as well. @beachradish Thanks Beachradish! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie!
Thank you all! It is a very concrete practical statement but it does go a bit deeper too. Thanks for the encouraging and enthusiastic responses!
@netkonnexion Thank you Netkonnexion! It's always fun to play around with this stuff to see wha arrangement you like best. @twinsplusone Thanks Sharon! And believe it or not, I have more! @karenann Thanks Karenann! I actually have three in cobalt blue, but this one is definitely the prettiest! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Yes, very true! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! I switched them around a few times and ended up liking this shot the best.
Thanks to all for your kind words- they were all different but alike!
@potsbypam Thanks Pam! We have some fun souvenir type ones too, but the hand crafted ones are my favorites. @peterdegraaff You are funny Peter! But on the philosophical sense, yes this is true. Thanks for stopping by to give this shot a view! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! Some days I'm just shooting what is handy and that was true of yesterday. Tougher challenge today with argyle. If one of the teens is not wearing it at church I'll be pulling out a sub word! @sangwann Thanks Dione!
@ulpiphotos Thank you Ulpi- I do enjoy my mugs and each one has a story to tell! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @steeler Thank you Howard! @lisjam1 Thank you Lisa! I love my "artsy" mugs. I have a few of the souvenir kind, but these are the ones I treasure. @prttblues Thanks Bev. I had thought about doing all kinds of handles, but then settled on just the mug handles.
@tesssa Thank you Tessa! I started 365 in the winter months so there were a few days I couldn't go out. The good thing about that was it made me look around the house for interesting things to shoot. And now even the more common things can tickle my imagination if I let them. My slogan became, "Look and look again." In other words, look closely at anything and you will always see something unique about it that you can photograph. @photodreamm Thank you Rachael! I am soooo blown away by that!!! It's an honor and very exciting!
@kloud haha Bonnie- hadn't thought of that lovely pun! This one surprised me too. Before the marble shot had left the PP this one appeared too. wow- two on the pp in less than 48 hours. Couldn't believe it!
@eudora Thanks Diane- I wasn't trying to be philosophical (although I knew people would take it that way!), I wanted a statement of the obvious with a hint of the philosophical- an idea pun if you could call it that!
