Last Sunday I choose leaves as my "same something" for the Same September challenge. This leaf was taken on my back deck. It's hard to believe it's been a week since we were in Michigan! Fall is certainly around the corner- I'm wearing a sweater as I upload this picture and the trees are definitely turning from green to the rusts, yellows, reds, oranges and browns of Autumn.

There is such beauty in thIs! I like the rust coloring and the dark browns. We're in TX and had a cold front come through this weekend...only a high of 89! Ha! We used to live in the north, we miss true fall weather! and wearing sweaters.
Ann - This looks like a leaf you'd see in November! I've been wearing shorts and tees, but woke up this morning to some brisk, wonderfully dry weather. Had to put some jeans and a long-sleeved tee-shirt on - sure felt good, especially for going back to school tomorrow! :)
this looks like a twisted rusty metal to me. as early as that spring came, i think autumn's coming with a vengeance. but the prediction here is that we are going to have a mild winter, whatever that means. i remember one Christmas in the early part of the century when it was Christmas and nary a white stuff was on the ground. it just wasn't the same. great shot, no sweater yet for this old lady who has a bad back right now :-)

The color and texture of the leaf truly speaks of fall which came way too soon for me..I'm not happy to see so many nice flowers starting to wilt away..oh well fact of life I suppose. I really enjoy going back in your calendar to compare the week before to this one..both are really beautiful.
The leaves are falling much too early. This poor leaf has seen the end of its days ... and lacks color. It's a really nice photo. It tells the ending of a season. Great job!
Just got to tell you... I clicked on your latest photo and looked back to see what I'd missed in the rush of this week... couldn't work out how I'd missed the collared dove of 9.9... clicked and found myself here! :)
