The big day has arrived and red is jumping out all over 365! Of course you know Piggy had to be the household object today. She joined us in August and has been making appearances in my album ever since. In fact her debut was also in black and white- except in that shot, she's the splash of color and no candy was involved. I think she prefers this shot. I wonder why.
The big day! This is cute! Piggy looks like he has pigged out! I cannot recall the exact wording for this challenge..I thought most people would post an all red pic. But seems like everyone is posting SC red....like I did. Maybe that was in the directions. Not sure. This has been fun!
@bruni lol Bruni I think you hit the nail on the head! Thank you! @salza thank you Sally! @dakotaburns thank you Donald! @allie912 Thank you Allison! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! No, I used Ribbet for this. It's another free on-line processing site- very much like Picmonkey though and I think somehow related in who started it- both are second generation Picnik sites. Check it out, it's very easy to use. @gerry Thank you Gerry! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @jackie8 Thank you Jackie! @filsie65 Thank you Phil! lol she's just a sweetie, isn't she? @digitalrn Thank you Rick! I think she has earned a place in the "silly things we bought for 365" hall of fame! @automaticslim lol Thank you Andy! I can't believe how much everyone loves this little plastic pig (o: @chrismarfil Thank you Chris! @fullcircle Thank you Cindy! @henrir Thank you Henri! @daisy Thank you Kathryn! This is the "Reflection" frame from Ribbet. I only recently started using it. I used to think you had to keep the thick border that it usually comes up with but then I discovered you could shrink it. I'm like you, I like the way the color fades out around the bottom. @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie- lol do you know how hard it is NOT to eat this stuff!? I did succumb to eating one gummy heart. Now I have to give up calories somewhere else today!
Thank you all for such wonderful responses to Piggy! You've really made my day!
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! Yes, the directions said use SC for that "flash of red". And yes, Little Piggy was happier than a Geico customer after this shoot!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I actually tried to tone them down a bit, but then the rest of the picture went flat- so eye popping hearts are what you get! @pflaume Thank you Lisa! lol I was thinking about how I was going to take this shot and then process it as I fell asleep last night!
Thank you Bev, Smitha, Alia, Laura, Carole, and Dione! Yes, Dione, she's always ready for the beach or pool with her lovely and permanently attached inner tube!
I didn't participate, but I've been enjoying watching everyone participate in your month long challenge. The flash of red was genius! It's so fun to look at everyone's calendars with the red smack dab in the middle.
@lisabell Thank you Lisa! It has been an interesting challenge. I've never shot so much b/w before! But I have to say, the flash of red has turned out to be all I was hoping for. @boogie Thanks Mags!
@deniseinindy Thank you Denise! @gphelps5 Thank you Graham! FYI- Piggy is a SHE. Although you can't see the color in this shot, her tube is a lovely orange with yellow polka dots- not too masculine as far as pigs go. However my little plastic frog (who has no attachments around its waist) has been "Mr. Frog" from day one. I don't know how my mind determines these things, it just does! lol
. @vposey Thank you Vickie! @wildernesswillie Thank you William!
@sandier Thanks Sandy! There are several free on-line programs I use- Ribbet, iPiccy, and BeFunky. There is also Picmonkey and if you're an ace member here, you can use all the premium features for free by uploading your shot to 365 and then using the "Edit with Picmonkey" option. I tend to forget I can do that and usually use the others.
