The First Green Leaves of Spring

Taken on the McDade Trail. I loved the joyful exclamation these little Maple leaves are proclaiming, "Spring is here! It's really here!"

Great shot. Great details and composition. I thought that the first tiny oak trees were really cute. Now, I am fighting to get them out of the flower beds. Soon, it will be the maple's turn, as the maple seeds have been twirling down at a rapid rate.

I love it that half of us here are celebrating the arrival of our green leaves while the other half is enjoying the changing colors. It's an exciting thought to see the world through more than your own set of eyes.

yes, i saw this morning on my train ride that the trees on the trail have green tinges in them so spring is here, hesitating to show up. i love this perspective. i should be able to go around on the weekend and have a personal look-see at our spring, whatever it might be.
