Springtime in Milford

I think I finally found a "flowering tree" shot I'm happy with for the scavenger hunt. The unedited version of this has the same bright colors but does not have the "impressionist" effect from Ribbet applied to it.
I like the modern look of the color blocking from the processing.

I love this effect on a picture as this one! It somehow brings it more alive!

I think the processing works so well on this, perhaps because of the very vibrant colours. Fav, Ann

@taffy @digitalrn @homeschoolmom @kerristephens @anazad511 @maggiemae @dibzgreasley @ubobohobo @alia_801 @susale @nicolecampbell @prttblues @axika

Thank you Taffy, Rick, Lisa, Kerri, Ana, Maggie, Debs, Margaret, Alia, Suse, Nicole, Bev and Alexandra! I really loved how this effect made the whole picture "pop" and am a little disappointed that we cannot use effects for this competition. But I did manage to adjust the contrast and exposure in the "plain" one so that it is just as vivid. I was surprised at the way this effect came out on this shot. It is not at all what I would call "impressionist" but I really liked it!

Thank you so much Kerri, Margaret, Ana, Lisa and Debs for the favs! How exciting to see this on the Trending Page!!

@mhatch Thanks Mark! I have to tell you though, I've used this effect before and it never came out this way so I'm not sure what happened here. Usually it ends up looking like a painting by Monet, but this time it seemed to outline everything in black. I do know one difference which could have made it turn out differently but not as drastic as this (at least I didn't think it would be as drastic as this) and that would be I changed the default setting that comes up when you first apply the effect to "dark circle" or "dark squares" (I'm not sure which one I stuck with- I tried them both). Oh well, have fun experimenting with it!

I know trial & error. I have liked what I have done with some effects, but try again & can never capture what I have done before!? :(
