Today's ONS picture was Wild life. I wasn't sure if this was meant to be interpreted as wildlife- meaning animals, birds, etc. or as "living a wild life". Since my life really does not qualify as wild, I decided to apply it to my furry friends.
This week's black and white them is "things that begin with the letter N" and of course this Nuthatch who is nibbling away at my feeder (out in the big wide world of nature is a nice sample for N indeed.
About a month ago I took a picture of one of these in this position with a Butter Nut ball on the tip of his bill. Fabulous picture except it wasn't clear. UGh birds move and it isn't good for photography. These guys are quick and you have done a great job.
My humble thanks to you my good friends! I am off to a family wedding tonight, on to a community service project with the camera club tomorrow and will catch up with your great shots when all is done. Hmmm...maybe my life is a little wild this weekend!
@joansmor Although I wasn't using it on this shot, I have found the burst mode to be quite handy when photographing the birds. You do have to wade through a lot of shots and delete, but generally speaking you also get a couple that are really good!
Thank you Terry, Nicole, Lynn, Graham, Alta, Daisy, Kathy, Robin, Alia, and Rick! And a special thanks to those who fav'd! Much appreciated. I'm back from a very busy weekend, so I'll be catching up with you over the next few days.
