Snowbound by olivetreeann

Snowbound

I've been taking most of my macro shots indoors this week, so today, with a slight break in the cold, I ventured out into the backyard in search of a leaf.
The veins on the leaves have such an intricate design! Great to see the focus on the snow crystals!

You've caught the details so well -- especially of the ice crystals.

And the leaf is covered with snow! Great shot - lots of detail.

I have a fascination with photographing leaves lately - I did some today, too. No snow in mine though! :-) (We still have plenty, just not in that particular spot). Love the definition of your leaf against the snow. Fav!

Beautiful macro. I like the detail in the leaves but the snow crystals are amazing. Frosty but warm and sunny here in the UK today.

Beautiful capture. Great in b&w - great clarity. Looks like it's very cold there. I hate it when I have to stay inside all day.

For those of you who wondered- yes it's still cold, but not as cold as it has been. We have also not had any really significant snow for about a week, so, I am counting my blessings double time!!

Thanks for all who helped this shot make a stopover on the Trending Page- it's much appreciated!

Beautifully captured. How did you get that frame line to be on top of the photo itself?

Nice shot, Ann. Love the detail and you captured the texture so well.

@aikimomm Thank you Phoebe! That frame is part of my processing program (Smart Photo Editor). It's called Vignette Plus. It places a white vignette around the picture (which you can adjust the strength of- on this picture I faded everything back in- i. e. erased the vignette) and then does the black line overlay.
@yaorenliu Thank you Yao!
@prttblues Thank you Bev!
