Hang It All 26

This week the Hang It All theme is featuring pictures we'd hang in our living room. I have always had a painting hanging over my mantle so this week I'm taking some of my photos and turning them into paintings.

I took this shot in April when I went on a photo shoot with a friend to Brookdale Park in Newark, NJ. Brookdale is well-known for its beautiful Cherry trees as well as the flower beds in which thousands of daffodils and irises bloom each Spring. I posted several shots from my excursion there, but this was not one of them. It's the perfect subject for a photo to artwork shot.

Here's a closer look at the tree in this picture:

It's a lovely piece of artwork. When you say 'turning' is that processing or actually painting, Ann?

@kerristephens @annied @juliac @sarah19 @alia_801 @quietpurplehaze

Thank you Kerri, Annie, Julia, Sarah, Alia and Hazel!

@quietpurplehaze It's all in the post processing! I'll leave the actual artistry of painting to Sally @salza She has posted some pictures of her work and it's beautiful! There really is a painting hanging here- I'm just borrowing its frame and inserting my processed pictures to make them look like they are hanging there.

I really like the composition. It is very pleasing to look at. I think I will do a little rearranging of my own mantle. You have inspired me. :)

@aat3877 Thank you Ann! My friend Sue says my house is full of vignettes. I think it's just that I like to arrange things! Have fun playing with your décor and don't forget to take a photograph of it for 365 (hehe)!

It is such a beautiful and peaceful scene that you have chosen to grace the frame. Wouldn't it be great if we could swap our pictures round on a regular basis?
Thanks for the wonderful compliment, painting is one of the ways I relax and get away from it all!
