This week the Hang It All theme is featuring pictures we'd hang in our living room. I have always had a painting hanging over my mantle so this week I'm taking some of my photos and turning them into paintings.
Another shot from the New Jersey Sculpture Garden- this time from one of their beautiful lily ponds. It reminded me of some of Monet's paintings so I gave it an Impressionist treatment.
Some of you have noticed my interchangeable painting and the pictures below it. I really do have an actual painting hiding under there! Here's what the mantle usually looks like:
And the pictures are all of family. Left to right: my great great grandfather (mom's side), my granddaughter Leigh, my mother and father (in front of Leigh), my mother, my sons (somewhat obscured by the replica oil lamp), my father and his older sister (rear), my grandmother and her twin sister (father's side in front of sibling shot), my father and his cousin in the army, my dad (oval) and my grandfather (my father's father). The red and blue candles were made by Leigh.
One more day to go and then two bonus days! I have no idea what I'll be hanging or where I'll be hanging it, but I think an idea is starting to emerge...
@henrir Thank you Henri! @eudora Thank you Diane! @thistle Thank you Joyce! @susale Thank you Suse! @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs! @salza Thank you Sally! If you want the original or this version at any time for one of your painting projects let me know. I'd be glad to send the file to you! @pyrrhula Thank you Pyrrhula! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! It would not be my first choice to hang in my home, but I do like the colors. The fellow on the far right is Raymond Sherwood Hamilton Sr., my father's father. He's the one who is connected to our mutual relative somewhere along the Hamilton family tree line. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie! How true- but I did try to fill it all in some of our other homes. This is the first time I've put less up. The walls where you can hang more are just not as visible. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @steeler Thank you Howard! @alia_801 Thank you Alia!
