Well I really had fun playing this game with you! I thought I'd have everyone fooled for at least four days, and then on Day 2 @nicoleterheide Nicole guessed it correctly!! But I wasn't willing to accept "defeat" on day 2 so I continued to post my 4 shots with mysterious clues in order to keep you guessing- and it worked! I deliberately used objects that could be viewed with different themes, but also made sure not to carry the theme more than a day or so, and yes, that also worked! So from 4 things of the same kind, with one thing pointed in a different direction, to school supplies and guitar picks the consensus grew to the correct theme until the button picture did its thing and threw you all off again (hehe I really enjoyed doing that!). So if you're wondering how the button picture fits into the theme, there are four red buttons in it. And why did Lucy choose 4? Because that's how old she is now!
@bill_fe Thanks Bill! New stove with pretty blue clock (obviously I edited out a few numbers). @aikimomm Thanks Phoebe! Yes, read the last 2 lines of the commentary- that explains it all. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @ninaganci Thanks Nina! @sangwann Thanks Dione! That's ok- it's easy to miss a day or two. @wendyfrost Thanks Wendy! There were a couple options which would have worked as well, but none of them carried through the whole week. @nicoleterheide Thanks Nicole! Yes, you got it quite early but I had to tease you a bit with a couple "red herrings"!
@randystreat Thanks Kathy- well I did make it tricky! @dishaparekh176 Thanks Disha! That was one of the intended "rabbit trails". @eudora Thanks Diane!
