A detail on one of the canons at Antietam. I almost posted it in color, but the black and white just had a bit of an edge that I preferred.

I've been to that battlefield. We went in the winter but there wasn't any snow around just ice blue sky and cold temps. Really breaks your heart to think what happened there though. I love the POV of this shot.

@sailingmusic Thank you Myrna! Yes, it really impacted us. After taking it all in on the larger scenic shots it was a relief to start looking at details like this but the overall sorrow never left.
