Flash of Red 20

I decided to compare how different colors are effected by converting to black and white. What I found interesting here was that some of the nuances of the banana's skin were not as noticeable in color. Black and white however made them quite noticeable.
The b&w did bring out cool details! Well done

Good idea. Bananas can be deceptive.

I have noticed before hell black-and-white seems to accent the unnoticed. That may be what I take away from this exercise this year

Sometimes the black and white can hide a blemish whilst other times it will accentuate them!

Certainly shows the texture on the skin that I've never paid attention to before.

@quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel! I meant to post the second shot last night when I returned home from camera club, but was too lazy! so I'll be posting two later on today! It really is interesting how the different colors transfer into black and white.

@olivetreeann

I've been dipping in to the Batdorff which I bought last time I did flashofred and he does an interesting exercise with two cars in very different bright colours but which transfer into the same shade of black/grey when the shot is converted into b&w.

Yes, it is so interesting to see how the different colours react to b&w processing

@quietpurplehaze Oh, I remember that- I'll have to track it down to refresh my memory. I really do think his book was so much better!
