Half and Half May 3 by olivetreeann

Half and Half May 3

Took a photo of the moon for tonight and processed it for the half and half challenge.
I have been looking at the moon - it has been a crescent but turned into a half moon last night. The processing brings out the craters.

Thank you so much to each and every one of you!! I'm grinning from ear to ear!

@wag864 Believe it or not, I used a bridge camera for this shot with a fixed lens. But this camera loves moon shots! I set the camera on daylight and shoot at 200 ISO. I wasn't sure why it was so good at these shots until a speaker at our photo club recently was talking about "pixels per inch" and how they bring out the detail in a digital file. From what I understand (and I'm not good at the technical stuff), this camera has a high amount of them and that is why I get such good detail in my moon shots. That and a tripod!
