Jack in the Pulpit that is! Only the leaves remain in the garden now. But in the Spring, next to the Daffodils, it's one of the first flowers I look for.
This is really interesting processing with this shot. Was there fresh snow on the ground or how did you get the white in the background?

Wendy, I think the "snow" was just the way the "sketchy watercolor" effect treated the ground. I took this in May and it was too warm for snow by then.
Thanks Babs, Yao, Allie, and Brian! These plants are quite prolific in our woods. The ones in my garden are small because the soil is not great but the ones in the woods grow much larger.
LOL Allie- "Jack" is the little centerpiece under the "hood" of the plant. I can't remember if he's the stamen or the pistil.
