I'm still laid up with my torn meniscus so I won't be running about with my camera all too soon. What to do for pictures? I came up with this idea that I'd go back one year, see what I took on those days and then choose another shot to process and post. Well, the idea was good, but apparently last November I wasn't out and about that often either! I decided to stick with the One Year Ago Today theme (OYAT) as much as possible and when I don't have a shot for the day, take one from another day last November instead.
One year ago today, I wasn't out taking pictures but this one was filed on November third. I'm not sure what it is, or even why I took it! But I did like the swooping feel of whatever it is! So this is basically sooc, but I also had some fun playing around with it!
That's a good way to get through the immobile period. Sounds miserable - do what they say and hopefully you'll heal soon. This made an interesting white abstract.
Sorry to hear that you laid up, it's no fun being immobile. Hopefully your recovery will be swift and smooth.
I really like the abstract nature of this, clean and simple.
What a great idea - I might use that if I may as I sometimes can't get out due to work but can go back and look at what I took and play around with a new technique.
You came up with a great idea. I love both pictures but there's more life to the edited version in 2018.
Being ill is no fun and I hope you get better very soon.
I finished all my medication and two days later my sore throat returned. it's chronic by now. whenever it's windy outside (and it seems to be all the time) I get a sore throat. I can't dress warm enough even inside. you see, my feeling cold comes from inside my body, not only because I've to take a blood thinner every day, and of course having lost so much weight over the years. I used to be a 16, down to 14 and so on. now I'm a down to an 8. unfortunately, I can't seem to gain any of it back.
@4rky I added the tag for you but I'm not sure if you have a time/date limitation on this. Although it's posted for 2018, it was actually taken last year.
Wow- thanks for all the positive feedback and favs plus all the get well wishes. I am in week #5 of staying off of this thing but I don't feel like I've made any progress. So we'll see- lots more rest, lots more anti-inflammation treatments and lots more playing in the archives to go...
I really like this Ann. I have no idea how you did it but it makes a beautiful image in white :)
Congratulations on making the shortlist!
Good luck with the voting
@robz Thank you Rob! @4rky Thank you 4rky and thank you for choosing this for the vote- I'm truly honored as the entries there are all excellent and quite beautiful. Honestly, I do not know what I did either because I don't know what it is, or why I took it! My only possible thought was that I was intentionally moving the camera in order to get the swooping feel of this, but I had no idea what that white stuff is. Thanks again for selecting it!
