Flash of Red 25

Contrast is the focus of Flash of Red for the next few days. First up- the glass in the front window and how the red glass contrasts with the clear glass pieces. The two mid-tone pieces are yellow. It's always interesting how colors translate to black and white.

I'm switching up the February words a bit and using this as my picture for the word "contrast".
Love the patterns and the textures and the contrasts in the light.

What beautiful glassware - the light through it makes those etchings show so well - nice contrast with the red glass.

The one before has great colors but in this you better see the lines and patterns . So the best depend on what you like to tell.

Thank you so much to each of you! I truly appreciate all the views, comments and favs!

@onewing Me too.

@joansmor They were hiding behind the blinds in the Living Room. In my former home you could see them so nicely and they would throw pretty colors on the wall when the sun came through. But that window looked out on a field. If I leave the blinds open on this one, I get the view of the back of Jeff's van! So if I want to take pictures of them I wait until he's at work- haha!

@ruthmouch I think that has to do with the shallow depth of field which is achieved by focusing only on the glass. I'm glad it's blurred too- because the view out the front window isn't the greatest!
