I'm hosting the current album cover challenge so I decided to put one together just for fun.
Artist: The WAVES- acronym for- Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. They were authorized and commissioned to serve as both officers and enlisted members of the US Navy on July 1942 and served until 6 months after the war was over. The roles they filled and duties they performed then allowed more men to serve at sea. The Waves served at 900 stations across the continental US and Hawaii. It was not an easy job as many opposed them. But support from first lady Eleanor Roosevelt and necessity eventually brought people around to seeing their benefits.
