30 Days in April 24

It's a butter dish. What else is there to say? (smile)
Wow nice processing Ann!

Well it’s an artistically displayed butter dish. Very nice. Almost looks like a special cake.

my first thought was a coffin! ( Too many deaths here recently) A beautiful butter dish. Not a lot of people use them anymore

It’s a butter dish that at my first glance made me think “its a casket”! Ha ha!

Where is the fresh bread and jam to go with the butter? That is one very fancy butter dish.

Very fancy butter dish. We used to use one years ago but it wasn't as decorative as this

Thank you all for such nice comments! I never thought of my butter dish as looking like a coffin though- and I don't think I'd want to be buried in a glass one anyway! It may look fancy here, but it's not. I believe it's a knock-off of Waterford crystal but you can tell upon close inspection that it is "poured" not cut.

Rather than a butter dish, it reminds me of some lavish barge on the Nile or something.

@randystreat thank you Kathy- I'm surprised by all the interesting interpretations of this humble butter dish. I know it's just inexpensive glass but so many had other ideas!
