Zimmerman's Mill Gets a Facelift

I was out and about the other day and decided to try out my new point and shoot. I'd heard that this mill had been bought by someone after sitting empty for several years and that it was being painted red. While it doesn't have the rustic character it had like this:

I actually don't mind the new color.
It really stands out beautifully against the bare trees. It will be interesting to see it when the woodland is green.

Oh my it looks kind of scary to me. Probably because of the bare tree limbs.

Maybe they just want to be noticed. I prefer the rustic look! Call me old fashion.

In our country you have to get permission to chance the color. It looks very bright now but time will do a nice job.

@ninaganci I'm not sure if it's being converted to living quarters or a place of business or being left as a mill which is what it was first built as.

My heartfelt thanks to one and all for your views, comments and favs! It may look like it stands out now, but I will have to return when the leaves have returned and see what it looks like then.

@pusspup No real movement- just an artsy effect that gives that impression.

@janiskay Me too. I don't hate this updated version, but I do prefer the older one.
