@shutterbug49 Not that I know of! I've been using this one for a long time. I used to change them every year but this one has always been a favorite. Thanks Debbie!
@grammyn Thanks Katy- I think most of them had the same layout. What was different were the friezes (that triangular area in the front which you can only see part of here. I think this one was removed and brought to the British museum long before archaeologists recognized the value of leaving things where they found them!
@swguevin2 Thanks Shelia! @taffy Thanks Taffy! @digitalrn Thanks Rick- well, after the previous week I figured everyone deserved a little break! @hjbenson Thanks Harry! @kjarn Thanks Kathy- I'm pretty sure you do too!
@onewing Yes, it's the Parthenon. I was there in 2005. I sure hope they've restored it by now! Although you do have to be rather maticculous and careful with these ancient buildings.
@joansmor Thanks Joan! Do you mean Pantheon or Parthenon? The Pantheon is also an amazing structure- but it's in Rome. This is the Parthenon which is in Greece. I'm thinking you meant the Parthenon.
@salza Thank you Sally! They were far more technological than we give them credit for. They may even have been smarter since everything they calculated and manufactured was the result of brain power and not a machine.
That is sweet to give me the benefit of the doubt but I typed in Pantheon to see if I could be right and it was a building with columns. I didn't even realize there were Pantheon and Parthenon. I just always thought one and didn't recognize he difference. Ancient History is not my strong point. I am more an American History buff and then only a little.
