The Red Barn in Winter

My cousin posted this picture on Facebook. My grandparents used to own this barn and the house on the hill (obscured by the processing here). At some point in the 80's an arsonist torched the barn. We were all saddened by its destruction. The house on the hill was sold but the land which the barn and the pond in the foreground were located on was given to a nature conservancy group and is still untouched. I played around with several ways of processing it this morning to restore the picture and then I had fun turning it into a painting. Then I thought, "Might as well post it on 365!"
