Trinkets, Treasures and Toys 3

Hmmmm.... we received a package from Canada today. What could it be?

It's hard to tell as it comes out of the box, but Piggy and the Critters seem convinced it's something for them!

Well, what do you know?! It's a little Koala from Wild and Free in Australia! Miss Ann has to come up with a name. She sends her granddaughter Lucy a picture. "What if I take some of the letters from Wild and some of the letters from Free and put them in a name- like- Wilfred?! Lucy sends a text. "I like the name Willy." she writes. Did she know what Miss Ann was thinking? Willy also brought some masks made by Mme. Summerfield's sister. We liked the colors and trinkets on them. We found out that Willy loves to tell stories. How about that? We like to listen to them! We heard about the adventures of Bullet, Hugo, Phoenix, Angel, and Maggie.

Welcome to your new home Wilfred!! And thank you Mme. Summerfield for sending him to us!
Such a fun package. I love it.

Thank you one and all. Willy has certainly won our hearts! We're really glad he's here.

@grammyn I can always ask Lucy what you should name yours- although I think you have a granddaughter or two who could name him/her as well.

@summerfield hemmed and hawed and stared at the poor little koala until Wild and Free=Wilfred came to mind. When I couldn't come up with another name and Lucy (not knowing about my name) said Willy, it seemed the little one was a he and so I went with that!

@summerfield That is a small part of a painting by a woman who was a locally known artist when I was growing up. She lived across the street from us and every once in a while I was allowed to go see her in her studio. Fascinating place! When Jeff and I got married she brought us in to the studio and showed us 5 paintings lined up. "Pick one- it's your wedding present" This one came from Dad's house- so now I have two of her paintings which I very happy about!
