Our granddaughter Leigh is visiting this week! So we started off with a special dinner at the Kabob House in Stroudsburg. Jeff had a lamb kabob and red lentil soup, while Leigh had a chicken kabob and a shrimp kabob- and yes, she ate it all!!
So nice to see family members enjoying themselves actually out in public! Meals look delicious! My husband, Ken, remembers Stroudsburg but I don't believe we ever went there when living in PA eons ago. lol
Thank you all! Yes, we are fortunate that although there are many restrictions, restaurants can be open. In case you are wondering- we must enter the restaurant with masks on but are allowed to take them off when seated and eating. The staff wears masks at all times and everything is wiped down between customers. Tables are spread out accordingly. There were only two table occupied when we were there- Jeff, Leigh and myself and three ladies at another table across the room. We enjoyed ourselves but I felt bad for the owner as 6 customers on a Saturday night is not going to "pay the rent".
@helenhall They do look huge, but Mediterranean food is nice and light. There were plenty of vegetables in between the meat which kept you from getting that over-stuffed feeling after eating.
@aikimomm Yes, very limited though- over 2/3 of the restaurant remains unused so the tables can be spaced out according to the 6 foot rule. You have to wear masks in and while moving about but can take them off while seated and eating. For obvious reasons dining out in this part of the country during winter is not desirable! But as soon as the weather warms up I'm sure restaurants will be doing that again.
@nicolecampbell I had a shrimp kabob and kafta. Quite delicious!
