Thank you! Leigh has returned home and I am really missing seeing those socks over by the fire in the morning. It was so much fun having her here.
@cjphoto I home-schooled my sons for a few years as well. I think it's a great alternative for inquisitive minds! And now I see how some of your creative ingenuity developed!
@olivetreeann - Oh wow, didn't know you home-schooled your sons. Always great to find out about other home-schoolers! And thanks so much for the compliment. I can say home-schooling did teach me the value of sticking to a project and finishing it.
@cjphoto I really enjoyed it but once the math started getting a little more complicated than 2 + 2= 4 it became a little difficult for me. At that time there were no cyber-schools or on-line help to go with your curriculum. So we stopped, but if those resources had been available, I would have kept it up.
@olivetreeann - Didn't even think about that aspect of it back then. Kudus to you all for trying. I had a teacher to turn my work into every week as I got into later grades so she was always a call or visit away to provide assistance. Homeschooling definitely has evolved over time.
