Hospital Room 2 by olivetreeann

Hospital Room 2

Constants- a picture of the Nursing Director, the TV, the wall clock, my chart and a cup of water. They were there day in and day out- the best was the chart though because I could see I was making progress when they took my readings.
Progress is good, looking forward to your full recovery

Oh, Ann! How dreadful that must’ve been for you to be there suffering through that all by yourself! How grateful I am that you are writing about it now which means you are better!

Great processing, always good to have a chart moving in the right direction :)

Great shot, Ann. I'm so glad you are home. Keep feeling better.

A patient's view of the world. So effective. Glad you are home!

Love the processing. May I ask what filter(s) you used in Photoshop?

Typical hospital room

It is so nice to have you back. Glad you are able to look back at the brighter side. I love how you are processing these shots.

It’s so great that you survived. I’m thinking I can already see the ghost of Ann still posting a picture a day of every corner of the casket, or everywhere the ashes blow. You never let the little things separate you from 365 for long.

Well done Ann, such a blessing that you are on the mend and able to do what you love doing.
April 22nd, 2021
Such great news! Wonderful image too!

Amazing that you were still able to think of photography after being so ill. You have the heart ( which fortunately is still beating ) of a real photographer. I think you did a rather nice job of composing and editing on this as well.

Good documentary shot

Even though you were going through such an ordeal you still made the time to take some photos. What a lovely way to record your journey. May you grow stronger by the day.

Those nurses have totally indecipheral writing!!

Great shot and processing.

No any problems remained?

Nice processing and story

Yes, familiar sights in hospital rooms.
April 23rd, 2021
Processed well -- a bit upbeat for the subject, but I'm guessing it's a window into your positive feelings these days.
April 23rd, 2021
Even with the most mundane things, you have such a wonderful sense of composition! The processing fits also.
April 23rd, 2021
Neat shot!
April 23rd, 2021
I'm really not sure why you need a photo of the nursing director on the wall. Great processing
April 23rd, 2021
Such wonderful processing to highlight the essentials that charted your improvement. :)

A mundane photo turned into an art piece! Great processing! Sending good thoughts each day for your full recovery!

@grammyn Once I was able to talk Jeff and I phoned every day so, physically alone yes, but my whole family was able to check by phone at least once. I didn't feel alone.

@dejongdd I use Smart Photo Editor- no Photo Shop. It's a cartoon effect.

@pej2 @salza What else do you do with all that free time?! Although my hands were really shaky at first and most of them were too blurred to use!

@pandorasecho Oh, lol, heaven's no! When it's really my time (many many years from now!) I'll be with Jesus- even better than 365. (o:

@taffy I was positive and determined from the start. Although I didn't understand the severity of the treatment I was going to receive, my first thought when speaking with the dr. was "This is what needs to be done, so that's what I'm going to do..." Every step of the journey was the same- breathe deeply and steadily, do what the drs. and nurses said to do, and get home. I knew a lot of people were praying for me. So, always positive.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond I've applied an effect here which "hid" the info- on purpose. It was initially very easy to read. But I don't have permission to put the names out in public so I made them illegible.

@kjarn I wasn't sure either- but she sure looked friendly and nice.

@hjbenson @grammyn @yoland @mittens @eudora @dejongdd @bkbinthecity @shutterbug49 @pandorasecho @ludwigsdiana @photographycrazy @pej2 @joansmor @salza @30pics4jackiesdiamond @haskar @pyrrhula @wendyfrost @dogwoman @louannwarren @radiogirl @Dawn @randystreat @taffy @mcsiegle @edorreandresen @kjarn @robz @linnypinny

Thank you all for your encouragement, well-wishes and comments. I appreciate them all!

So sorry to hear you’ve been sick Anne. My best wishes for a full recovery.
April 23rd, 2021
A great shot to document part of your recent COVID journey. I hope your recuperation continues to go well.
April 23rd, 2021
@cdcook48 @jamibann Thank you Chris and Issi! I am getting stronger little by little and day by day. It is going to take time, but I'll get back to full strength at some point.
April 23rd, 2021
Must have been reassuring to see the chart and the improvements.
April 24th, 2021
@onewing Thanks Babs- the improvements were the best part. Each one was a step closer to home.
