Walking the Freedom Trail by olivetreeann

Walking the Freedom Trail

I was not able to walk the whole Freedom Trail as I'd hoped, but I did get to see a good amount of the important stops on it. Many times I was taking photos "on the run" so they are not as well composed as I'd like either, but I'm glad to have at least experienced a little of it and to have a record of what I saw.

From the upper left hand corner and going clockwise: Red bricks lead you along the Freedom Trail; The trail begins in Boston Common where children and adults alike were enjoying the water fountain in the Boston heat; The 54th Regiment Memorial; The Massachusetts State House; Park Street Church; The Granary Burying Ground (Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Robert Treat Paine, all signers of the Declaration of Independence, are buried here); The King's Chapel (an Anglican Church ordered by King James II to be built in the colony); Old City Hall; Old South Meeting House; a Freedom Trail marker; the Old State House; a mosaic marking the site of the Boston Massacre; Faneuil Hall; Quincy Market; the site of the Haymarket where fresh produce is sold each weekend. In the days of Revolutionary Boston take a guess as to what was sold here!; and a view of the Saint Charles River with the Bunker Hill Monument on the horizon from the Skywalk Museum.

Nicely constructed collage, I really like the large shot in the middle with the smaller ones around it.

@salza @thebluegnu @gphelps5 @jesperani @kerristephens @simster

Thank you Sally, Blue Gnu, Graham, Jennifer, Kerri, and Simmy. I'm so glad you all liked the collage. I have so many shots from Boston, this just seems the simplest and easiest way to get them out of my system! I wish the center shot was a little more centered but Dianne was often a half a block ahead of me by the time I composed a shot. I could barely keep up with her! lol So I often would just shoot and hope for the best!
