@summerfield Thank you Vikki! Partially processed to bring out what I saw. It's hard to do on my p/s, but my original shot was slightly over exposed. So I adjusted the color and exposure, then used the hdr effect in iPiccy to bring out the texture. And thanks for the fav too! @curleegirly Thank you Holly! @mzzhope Thank you Hope! And thank you so much for the fav!! @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie! The color did catch my eye- sort of unexpected on a church. Thank you so much for the fav! @daisyjuds Thanks Judith! @twr Thank you Timothy! I felt that if I had put it smack in the center it really would have been a rather boring picture-even with the bright red, so off-center was the way to go. @salza Thanks Sally! @gerry Thank you Gerry! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @tuya Thank you Claire! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! There is a great deal of artistry in stone masonry. I didn't realize how much until I watched my son do some work on his house once. He put set those stones on the foundation as if he was painting a picture. @roejan Thank you Roe Jan! Yes, it is a beautiful church. I think if I can go back someday when it is open, I'd like to see if they'll let me photograph the stained glass windows. They looked beautiful from the outside. I can just imagine what they look like inside! @henrir Thank you Henri!
I am so in awe of the very artful way you melded your processing techniques to finish this very creatively edited image. I think you were so right to apply a little HDR; doesn't it define the stone so wonderfully? I want to know what's behind that red door! Your photo makes me want to walk right in. I'll imagine that the stained-glass shots would be absolutely gorgeous as well. Fav. :)
@gratefulness Thank you Sandi! And thank you so much for the fav! It's a very pretty little church and I imagine the interior to a very pretty dark colored wood- maybe someday I'll see if I can explore it.
