This is the closest I've ever seen a deer come to my deck. I think she was interested in the tray of goodies I'd put out for the birds, but it was beyond her reach and she didn't feel like climbing the stairs! It's not the greatest shot, but it's good as an account of what happened if not anything else!
Love the clarity on the ball, Ann. The deer is so very cute. Would love to see something like this visiting my house but that is just wishful thinking. No deers here.

I'm curious to know why you don't think this is a great shot? The clarity is good and the composition with him peeking through the fence at the Jesus ornament is so darn cute. I think this is one of your best shots ever ... really. So, I'm faving it.....so there! :-)

@olivetreeann The plaque tells a story like the deer is searching for light. Without it, it's just a deer peeking through the fence. The other items you mentioned just appear to be part of the "weather" ... not a distraction at all.
