Basic

I am going to be using this shot as a demonstration in selective coloring using Picmonkey for our upcoming book club challenge in the month of Feb. PLEASE- you do not need to comment on this! It's not a great shot, but it will work well for this effect, so that's the only reason I uploaded it!!
Good luck with the demonstration

Uhm... selective color in Picmonkey? Haven't seen it. Under what category.

@anazad511 Thanks Ana- that's what I'm going to find out. Tomorrow I'll post the picture again and then edit it in Picmonkey to see if I can do to it what I know I can do in Ribbet. That sounds like a tongue twister! I hope it makes sense.

Cool collection of pics - interesting how different it looks when you highlight different sections :)

@alia_801 Thanks Alia- yes, and I've been doing that on purpose so folks can see how sc affects the mood of a picture.

Good idea. I have never used picmonkey. Is there a tag for this tutorial?

This is the basic shot of the tea set without any processing. If you click on the right arrow that appears on the picture when you put our cursor on it, the next four shots will show you step by step how the selective coloring was achieved on that particular shot. There are several different ways you can do selective coloring so I put each one on its own picture. And I used Picmonkey for each one of them.

To use Picmonkey as an Ace Member all you need to do is upload your picture and then on the right column under "Picture Details" select "Edit in Picmonkey". 365 will then direct your picture over to Picmonkey. Edit as you see fit, then save your photo. Picmonkey will then send it back to 365.
