BeFunky Apple

Since I did a piece of fruit yesterday for my color wheel shot I didn't want to repeat the same subject today. However, I really liked the way this came out even though it barely resembles a photograph anymore! I always wonder what I might have done with my Fine Arts degree had digital photography and all these cool processing effects been available when I studied for my undergraduate degree. I wasn't much of an artist when it came to painting and drawing (I was a fantastic doodler though!) so I ended up focusing on Art History instead of applied art. But if someone had steered me in the direction of photography, I wonder what would have happened?
Love it! A fav for sure.

Really neat effects. Excellent.

So creative Ann! I suspect you might have become a practicing artist/photographer! I wonder if women could be more than nurses or teachers if I would have been a photojournalist -- the paths not taken!

@pools82 Thank you Mike!
@taffy Thank you Taffy! You know, I was very happy with my college and I do think it was the right place for me to be at that time in my life, but it is one of those situations where I think- if I'd had more options, what might I have discovered about myself a little bit earlier? Or if I'd had one person who wasn't afraid to push me a little harder in the right direction! Who knows- the good thing is that I've discovered it now and I might still be able to do something with it!
@stimuloog Thank you Marloes!
@jennwithtwons Thank you Jenn!
@haze65 Thank you Hazel! And thank you so much for the fav!!

The processing of this photo is amazing! Your comments made me think--I studied English and became a teacher. As you said, I loved my college and appreciated the quality of the education I received. But years later, they added a degree in historic preservation, and that is my true love. But who knows if that would've been a better field...? Your photos reflect your artistic background.

What fun effects. Turned out great! It's fun to experiment and I love BeFunky, Ribbet, ipiccy and a couple others.

Still healthy, and it looks great

@eudora Thank you Diane! Historic preservation sounds fascinating too! If I'd listened to my parent's gentle hint that I should get my masters after graduating undergrad, it would have been in Fine Arts and I'd probably have ended up working in a museum. But- I've never been one to be disappointed with the "road not taken". Even though I wonder, I'm still happy with where I am too.

@cimes1 Thank you Carole!
@mhatch Thank you Mark!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! Truth be told though, you would not want to take a bite out of this one- it's wooden!

Nice shot, Ann! Very cool processing, too! It does look like a painting. Well done :)

Agree with Bev...But your profession is in connection with arts. I love art, but I could not study. I was clerk. Now I'm retired and I try to photograph.

@prttblues Thank you Bev!
@vesna0210 Thank you Vesna! You are an artist with words in your poetry. And your camera is your paint brush when you photograph your garden.
