I was cleaning at Judy's today and when I left I took a few moments to photograph the flowers. There were plenty of Spring beauties to shoot, but this last reminder of winter caught my eye first. More seasonally appropriate flower shots to follow!
This is wonderful, Ann. Is this a Rose of Sharon plant? We have it in front of our house and I was taking pictures a few days ago of very similar leaf structures. They are fascinating shapes and tones and really stand out this time of year.
well, i saw a little shoot coming out of someone's garden. so i can take the sight of this thing knowing it will be gone and replaced by something more beautiful.
Thank you Kerri, Taffy, Dawn, Vikki, Lisa, Judith, Nanci, Terry, Daisy, Rick, and Yao!
@yaorenliu No way!! @taffy@rangerxenos I think you are probably right. I'd have to go back to last year's archives to see what I shot there. It could be Rose of Sharon because she does have some of that by the garage. There are also Peonies over there- but I don't think they have anything like this left behind when they die off. So, I'm going to say it's Rose of Sharon.
Great shot, Ann! I love the colors and the texture and the shape. Even though they are dead, they are still pretty. Very artistic photo. Fave! Well done :)
