For My Niece Katie

My niece has asked me to shoot a cover for her Sr. recital program this Spring. She has chosen these items because they are significant to her and some of the music she is performing in honor of her father who died last April. I'm not sure what direction she'll go with on the cover, but this was my favorite version of today's experiments. You might see a few more! When the weather warms up enough we'll be shooting a picture of her as well- that is going to be a real stretch for me as I don't usually do portraiture. I'm so glad I'll have the expertise of my camera club to coach me along with that!
I love it. Fabulous composition. FAV!

@fullcircle Thanks Cindy- she has chosen these objects. What I liked as I photographed them was the juxtaposition of the rusty hard horseshoes, and the delicate soft yellow rose. Each one has a significance with her and her dad. So sad he will not be here to see this program.
