Did a few projects in the attic and the yard today. Boy are my bones angry with me!! But the weather was sooooo nice! And it felt especially good to be outside. I was just about to settle into a comfy chair when I realized I still needed a shot for today. So it was back out to the garden for a couple quick snaps.
I'm not sure if some little birdy has moved in here or not. Time will tell!
I need a bird house like that. our second one, where a sparrow called his little heart out to find a female wasn't the right place for her. she started building a nest and when some starlings tore it apart, she just took off not to return. poor little sparrow is hanging around and started his calling again. hope he finds one who will stay.
I hope your bones forgive you soon! We have a number of birds that nest in the garden but I have never put up boxes for them use. Something to think about....

I think I might have to pull out the old nest in order to induce new tenants to move in. I'll have to check up on that this week.

It looks like a bird may have started a nest? Seems there's something in there. Like the contrast in textures between the wooden birdhouse, and the bark of the tree trunk.
@juliac Thank you Julia! @gratefulness Thank you Sandi! There is a nest of twigs in there. I have to research and find out if I should remove them so that someone else will move in. It is unoccupied right now.
