Sally the man in the foreground is Brian Bruno who is the owner of the farm. He's holding rope which will be used to bind up the garlic clusters after they've been harvested. His daughter (whose name I forget at the moment) had found an old horse shoe which she was proudly displaying for John while he took pictures of her. I couldn't resist catching the moment- it was begging for a picture!
