We went to see our niece Katie in another musical Friday night. This time she was starring in "The Music Man". Although she wasn't feeling her best, we thought she did an awesome job. We were also quite impressed with the choreography and sets. Community theaters often have a low reputation here as they have all kinds of people with all kinds of skill levels joining them. But this troupe puts that assumption to rest! In this scene, Marion (our niece Katie) is singing about the kind man she could fall in love with. The men off to the side, stage left, were singing a barber shop quartet song as a back up to her solo, while her mother listens on the porch. I gave it a sepia tone effect to make it look vintage like the set.
Filling in some open dates- no need to comment! We had a late night at "the theater" so I'll be back tomorrow for more 365.
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian- I'm on and off here quickly today, but I will back tomorrow in full force, so I'll be sure to check your page out and catch up with you!
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie and thank you so much for the fav! Yes, these were the days when the mandolin and ukulele were the kings!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! She is quite talented but still somewhat immature. She has what she needs in the talent department to go far. We hope she "grows up" a little bit so that she'll get there. The sets for this production were really good! Somewhat of a surprise for community theater. @vesna0210 Thank you Vesna!
