Planting Made Easy

Once the field has been tilled, Walter and Becky (in the red) will lay down the black plastic you see here with another tractor. The plastic works pretty much in the same way that it works in a garden. Then Becky and Maria load flats of seedlings onto the back of this tractor which has seats for them and wheels which pierce a hole just large enough to place a seedling in. They did about 20 plants in a few short minutes!

I'm not sure what they're planting here. We took a lot of photos of a number of crops on the farm.
Another fabulous shot of the process. I'm not sure what the crop is either but it doesn't look like lettuce to me. Maybe peppers?

Wow. I think it's neat to see seats attached to the tractor, but still back breaking work.
