I discovered I hadn't posted a photo in this album for August 24. Hmmm...I wonder what happened there?! I've been working on some of my pictures from Israel for an upcoming speaking engagement, so here's a filler using one of them. It was originally taken on Jan. 2, 2005. It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since I walked in that beautiful land!

It is- because it is surrounded by desert-like wilderness and opens to the Dead Sea. @altadc Thank you Alta! And also a refuge. David and his mighty men hid out from Saul in this beautiful oasis.
