Three Silos and the Moon in Black and White by olivetreeann

Three Silos and the Moon in Black and White

I was attempting to upload this last night when the power went out- for the second time! So the computer was turned off and the upload postponed.

Our photo club opened an exhibit in the Smithfield Municipal Building tonight and this shot is on display there. One of my fellow photographers admired the color shot, but thought it might also work well in black and white. Since I didn't get a shot of the exhibit, why not take his suggestion and see what it looks like in black and white? Here's the color version:

What do you think?
Very nice! A perfect example of how B&W changes the feeling of the photo. I like them both.

I prefer the b&w. It makes the shot more dramatic. It brings out the textures and shapes.

Thank you Diane, Taffy, Allison, Babs, Wendy, Suse, Sally and Bruni! It was interesting to read your thoughts. Surprisingly although I love black and white, and do like the way this looks in that way, I like the color version just a little more- that blue sky just resonates with me.
