When the chainsaw sliced through this piece of wood it left an unusual pattern. While I was processing the shot I discovered this effect which made it look like the sun rising behind it. Looks like a willow in the wind to me. What do you think?

This is absolutely amazing! I love the processing, colors and patterns. The black at the bottom does indeed make it look like a willow in the wind. I hope you print and frame it and enter it into a contest! Fav.
@eudora Thank you Diane! I may do that. The club may be entering a juried show and this could be a good entry for that. I don't really like juried shows, but since this shot is so different it won't bother me if they don't really like it!
i don't understand it, 23 favs and it didn't make the pp. hopefully it's enough to make it to top 20. i have a photo with 12 favs within 20 hours and only made the trending page. thn i have a photo with 0 fav and it's on the pp.
@summerfield I know- it really bothered me that another shot made the PP and this one didn't. I would have reversed them. Oh well. I've only made the top 20 once- with a moon shot- and I'm not expecting to get there again, but if I do with this one, I'll be very happy indeed!
