52 Week Challenge- Split Tone

The 52 week challenge falls under the technical category this week with the assignment to process a shot in "splint tone". Split tone is an editing technique where the shadows are toned one color, and the highlights a second color. Split toning is often used with color grading in the media to give a scene a desired look and feel according to the instructions. I took this shot in the middle of our big storm this week and decided to give the shot a moody semi-dark feel by choosing a more monochromatic color scheme using two shades of purple.
I like your choice of colour and subject

The subject works well for a split tone. I had completely forgotten about the 52-week challenge. You image prompted me to go and check out t his year's one, thank you.

I wasn't sure what split tone referred to. It was one of those things I needed to research. Thanks for the quick version.
