Dynamic Duo

I was doing some writing on my computer this morning when I heard the tap, tap, tap of a wood pecker. It was a little louder than usual which I knew meant only one thing- the Pileated Woodpecker was having a snack. I slowly looked out the window and was pleased to see two of them attacking one of the wood logs Jeff hasn't cut up yet. I didn't have time to put my camera on the tripod, so I used the window ledge for balance and shot through the screen.
These are wonderful! Must have been so neat to watch - and to see two of them! They're a pretty rare find around here. Glad you showed all their activities. Fav

Thank you so much to one and all- and a special thanks for all those favs!! We're on our way to a 4th of July picnic at my sister's so I'll be back to view your projects later!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hubby estimates about 40 ft/ 15 yards- approximately. Not too far, but far enough that the zoom came in handy!

@cruiser This is the woodpecker that Woody is based on- right down to his crazy laugh too!
