We went on a picnic with my sister and her family today so I decided to take advantage of the opportunity and take a "Shoot Without Looking" shot. Of course the fun part is always adding some post-processing magic to whatever shows up in the camera!
@annied Thanks Annie! I just discovered this effect in my program today and thought it looked so cool with this shot. Sad thing is I don't know if I'll ever find it again!!
Great addition of the rainbow drawing. I love your photos without looking. Amazing what you can 'see'. I have tried shooting from low down without looking and it's fun finding out what you get.
It is as if you have created a whole needlework lawn of many colours, Or perhaps I have taken something from the 1960s era. And all of the passersby are looking the other way as if this carpet of colour is just the norm. An amusing take!
Thank you Dawn, Connie, Katy, Kerri, Sally, Mandy, Helen, Kathy and Wendy!
@mandygravil I took a bunch this time- and most of them were absolute busts- dirt, bizzare sections of tree bark, a tree with the photo bag jutting awkwardly into the picture- they were so bad no amount of processing would save them! Although you might not see it, my poor husband's head is chopped off in this one, but the effect I applied to the ground draws your attention away from him. And probably out of the 15 or so I took, this one had an angle I could do something with. I basically stuck the camera on my knee, and turned away (hence the tilt) then clicked the shutter.
@helenhall I really liked this effect. Sad thing is I can't remember the name of it so who knows if I'll ever be able to find it and use it again!
