Album Cover Challenge 88

Artist: SUST Unmanned Blimp
A Chinese unmanned blimp developed by the College of Geomatics of Shandog in the University of Science and Technology. It is used mainly for aerial photography and survey missions. There has never been any confirmation of it being used for surveillance because "there is not any Chinese official government or independent confirmation of this".

Album Title from:
How should we deal with intrusions of fiction into life now that we have seen the historical impact that this phenomenon can have? ...Reflecting on these complex relationships between reader and story, fiction and life, can constitute a form of therapy against the sleep of reason, which generates monsters. Umberto Eco (an Italian philosopher, semiotician, essayist, and literary critic, most famous for his novel The Name of the Rose).

I love your image Ann - but the philosophy seems a bit complex for me to follow! Ok with the first bit - a bit lost with the second - although I really appreciate the phrase "The Sleep of Reason". Cheers Rob

@robz Thanks Rob- the quotes are always random and as with anything that is pulled out of a larger piece of work- sometimes they don't always make sense. If I was to interpret Eco's statement I'd say he was referring to how fact and fiction become blurred in pop culture. An example might be how a popular television show creates fictional facts- imaginary towns that seem real, work projects that sound plausible but are purely made up- stuff like that. Because they're on TV people just assume them to be true. Just my guess, but who knows? I could be completely wrong!
