We were helping out some friends this past week end. They were running a program on parenting at a local camp. The theme was "Like Arrows" and each family made their own arrow plaque to take home with them. The children were represented by feathers. The arrows and feathers were all cut by a local woodsmith and a laser cutter. I thought they looked rather artistic laying in a pile like this.
Lovely color and interesting random arrangement especially with the little spider in the lower left! Some activity participants might not care for that! 🕷
Thanks everyone! On my way to see some friends tonight- I shall return to catch up with you later.
@pyrrhula I am sure there is far more satisfaction when they are done that way, but for this project the quick way was best as there 75 of them to be cut. I imagine your wood working was quite beautiful.
@grammyn If you are referring to the title RESCUEdog that is how the organizers chose to write it. Yes, normally it should be Rescue Dog or Rescued Dog but we're dealing with two artists here who are trying to encapsulate the slogan "Who rescued who?" into one word. My suggestion for the show at large was to not limit it to rescue or rescued but to the relationship between dogs and people in general and the title I suggested was "Paws and Reflect" (which the other groups liked a lot). But they didn't think it was in line with their concept so the organizers nixed it. However- as things often go- they did not get very many entries for the rescue/rescued theme and have now broaden it to what I originally suggested. So in a way, I feel vindicated! But the name remains...
You wrote RESUCEdog and I only called it to your attention because it was a bit confusing at least to me. It is a cute way to write it but I have to admit I like your idea better
