Tag Challenge 166

My tags were "lake" and "selfie". This picture is why I prefer to be BEHIND the camera instead of in front of it. I'm very uncomfortable when it comes to pictures of myself so this was quite the challenge! I don't know if we're allowed to process pictures for the tag challenge but I looked so washed out I had to do something!
I like it...and IMHO, sometimes editing is what makes the photo especially noteworthy!

What neat texture you have employed!

Seems good to me. You are an artist in photography so creativity is part of the deal. I would go so far as to say a selfie can be a part of you like a hand or the back of you or some object that you feel personifies something about you....that’s my opinion anyway.

Amazing processing!

it throws me off every time i see what others call a "lake". maybe because the lakes i've seen around here are so big we couldn't see the other side. even the smaller lakes aren't really that small. one time my brother in chicago drove me to their favourite lake and i was astonished it was so small and full of people, i told him it's more like a puddle.

well, it's nice to "see you again," ann. :-) we're overdue for a meet up and i haven't gone to niagara in more than a year!

Nice to put a face to a name. I think selfies are sometimes better, in that you can see what you are going to look like before you press the button. If someone else takes the picture, you don’t know for sure how it will be until they show you.

I like your choice of proce4ssing and it is always good to see you in whatever context you allow

@hwy614me @allie912 @shutterbug49 @kjarn @summerfield @mzzhope @koalagardens @onewing @ninaganci @carole_sandford

Thank you Karen, Allison, Shutterbug, Kathy, Vikki, Hope, Katrina, Babs, Nina and Carole! And thank you for the favs Hope and Katrina!

I really appreciate your support- especially on the photos I have to push myself a bit.

@shutterbug49 I had thought about doing one with just my feet, but thought that was short-changing the challenge a bit. But I absolutely agree with you on your take!

@summerfield True- this is a puddle compared to the lakes you are near! Those are truly "GREAT"! We do have some mid-size and larger ones, but this was the convenient one! lol

@carole_sandford My other Olympus which I gave to my grandson Sam had a really nice feature in that you could flip the LED screen up to see yourself when you took the selfie but this one doesn't have that feature. So there were a lot of trial and error shots!

Well done. I don't like selfies and that's one of the themes for photoclub this week. I've disguised myself many ways.
