@thaitanical I think you're probably right- there was another one pointing down but I didn't take the time to look and see how they were connected to the machine.
@milaniet I had my tripod with me but I did not use it. The quarters were quite tight, I am not the most graceful of people and I was concerned that I would get it stuck on something I shouldn't. Other photographers were using theirs with no problem but I was just as happy going hand-held. I just bumped up the ISO for a faster shutter speed and it worked well for most of my pictures. There were also some large windows along one wall so I did a lot of natural lighting shots around them.
