Album Cover Challenge 126

With apologies to Vikki @summerfield (picture on the left) and Katy @grammyn (picture in the center) for stealing their pictures to use on this album cover! Each one had made comments about the artistic merits of their post which came to mind when I landed on this quote- so I just had to use them!

Artist: Yazid I- the second caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate ruling from April 680 until 683. He was the first caliph to be appointed to the position by heredity but met strong opposition from several Muslim grandees including Muhammad's grandson Husayn ibn Ali. He is still considered an illegitimate ruler and tyrant by many Muslims.

Title: From a quote by American journalist Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914). Painting is the art of protecting flat surfaces from the weather, and exposing them to the critics.
