The Shadow of Your Smile by olivetreeann

The Shadow of Your Smile

I was taking pictures of some buttons for today's word list word when I noticed this interesting pattern/shadow on the wall. The shapes made me think of a man and a woman. And then this song popped into my head. Although you're probably more familiar with the vocal versions by the likes of Perry Como and Frank Sinatra, I liked this instrumental jazz version which had me envisioning these two shadows dancing in the dark.

The shadows make me think of spindles or distaffs with fiber twirled on them.

Dang it, Ann. If that song is still in my head at midnight, I'm going to spam all your pictures with random ear-worms. ;-)

Thank you kindly one and all- well maybe no thanks for the threat of earworms @frankroberts!

@randystreat It's a lamp and its shadow but the shadow was broken up by the edge of a painting. I agree- it reminds me of the spindle on a spinning wheel.

@shutterbug49 @ludwigsdiana Just don't follow it- it might be dangerous! haha

@olivetreeann Not to worry. It left my mind. It was replaced by "It's A Small World Afterall"
