Gourd

I made about 80 pictures and hated all of them. In a way I have decided still life painting is easier than photography because I can take a few liberties. This is a gourd vase that I made using an acrylic paint and some varnish. The dried plant is spray painted.
I like this one; it is very attractive.

I think that was a fantastic idea..which I could do things like that. love your picture...if the others are as as nice as this one wish there was a way to see them all. ... asking for too much .I know

Love your lighting and focus - looks like a painting!

It is hard. The background and lighting will make or break the picture. This turned out just fine. I rather like it actually because the colors are complimentary and the composition is nice. Good job.

I really like how the gold and the reddish go together. I'm having a hard time trying to get a good still life. Maybe the the end of the week.

This is lovely! I do know what you mean though about the difference between painting and photography. Well, I suppose there's always Photoshop fudging!

Like the composition, but it was the sharp crispness of the shot that caught my eye and the autumnal colours.
