Finally Foggy

Some of my Canuck friends have posted some awesome photos from foggy days within the past couple of weeks and I have been waiting patiently for my chance.
Today the conditions were perfect: It was foggy, I was awake and I wasn't at work :)

O.K. I really do love this! Great foggy photos rate big on my list. Did you use the HDR (photomatix) processing on this? Dumb question . . but does the moisture in the air fog up the lens on the camera? Just wondering. This is definitely a FAV for me, Dale. It's so beautiful when enlarged.

Great capture of the detail behind the fog!

Oh wow awesome

@karenann - I didn't use photomatix on this one, just Lightroom to give is a vintage feel and I added a layer in photoshop to give it a canvas-like texture.

I didn't have any problems with condensation on my lens, but I think it has more to do with the transition of temperatures. I'm sure it would have been worse if my camera was going from a dry, heated room to a cold, damp outside, but the transition from from my car to the outside was minimal, which I think helped a lot (I hope that makes sense)

Love the way the bridge leads your eye into the depths of the mist

gotta love that fog to produce the lovely tones. nice shot.

It makes alot of sense, Dale. When it's 20 degrees here and I'm taking photos outside and then go into the conservatory where it's humid and warm, my lens stays "condensed" for at least 15-20 minutes. Just was interested how it worked in fog tho. Thanks much.

I could gush all over your work but it seems you're getting enough of that already....seriously, slow.down. :P To be honest, for someone in the hospital profession, you are making some photographers look like amateurs.
